Lampwork Focal Pendants
I love these two piece pendants. The bail is riveted with sterling grommets. Made simply from dark ivory and aion silvered glass and finished with sterling beads and findings. 9 2.5cm.
Quite a structured pattern for me really. The aion over dark brown was allowed to move around the bead and then dark brown dots were raked through in the opposite direction. The bail on this one has a smaller hole and no silver grommetts. 8.5 x 2cm
Quite a deep looking bead with layers of ivory, green, frit, clear and silvered ivory twists.7 x 2.75 including the bail which is a funky foldover beaten sterling silver.
A long barrel that I refer to as a pencil pendant. Copper green based with a raku twisty and triton silvered dots. 7 x 1 cm finished with sterling bail, beads and pin
What you can't really see here is the sparkle from the rubino core which is covering a layer of dichroic. The dichro is hidden until you step out into the sun. The ends are light ivory and dark lavender.6 x 1.5 cm. Sterling pin, beads and bail
A long bicone with a base of Terra, twisted with dark brown twisted cane ad silvered ivory 6 x 1.2 cm with sterling bail etc.
This is by far my favourite bead this year. It is a lucious red with a transparent grey core in which sits copper mesh and silvered glass swirls. There is a glowing orange dichro surrounded by swirling silvered ivory, hand pulled murrini and a few cubic zirconia to finish. A bicone shaped pendant measuring 2x6cm (bead only length). Finished with sterling beads, pin and bail.
I have been experimenting with shards of glass. I haven't quite got it right yet but pretty close. This rectangular tab bead has a core of dark ivory which has copper mesh and a twisted cane encased over the top. The shards of silvered ivory are then placed on top of the encasing. Finished off with a hand pulled murrini. Measuring 4.5 x 2cm (bead only length). Finished with sterling beads, pin and bail.
A rectangular tab filled with visual delight. Silvered ekho glass encased in clear provides a soft purple blue glow which is enhanced by the silver foil and transparent blues. The copper mesh has come up a nice red colour and the twisted silvered ivory completes the picture. 4.2 x 2 cm (bead length only). Finished with sterling beads, pin and bail.
