About Us....
My Guardian Angel Blankie is truly inspired by my daughters Maddie and Gabbie. The Angel represents all the protection I would love to give to them now and throughout their lives... My Guardian Angel Blankie has been an idea and concept that was thought of after the birth of my first daughter in 2000. I can remember the day I held her in my arms for the first time and feeling that incredible, overwhelming selfless love. I remembered looking down at her, wiggling her beautiful tiny fingers and toes, and gently caressing her head; hardly believing that she was mine. I made a vow to myself. I was going to be the best mommy in the whole world - I was going to protect her from harm - there wasn't anything in the world that I would not give or do for her - and on and on. Well, life does go on with all the aches and pains of infanthood to toddlerhood, from sweet crawling baby to the terrible 2's (or was it the terrible 3's?) From the fever virus, the throw up virus, the all the above viruses and emergency room visits. There have been numerous "No, you can't have that" or "No, you can't do that" and the infamous "OK, One.....two...........ok I'm going to three now..." statements from me. You know the drill you've been there too. The wiser mommy that I am now has not changed my original vows just slightly revised them. I now swear that I will protect them "to the best of my ability". I still look down at them while they are sleeping, caress their now bigger hands and gently run my hand over their heads when I kiss them goodnight with the same overwhelming incredible amount of love as when I held them for the first time. It is my hope that you will be inspired by our Angel and see that she can represent to you as she does to me all your protective desires whether she be a divine presence, a mothers love or your own special representation... |
